Our Little Bears enjoying Langstone Harbour
Welcome to Little Bears Forest Preschool
We are a small privately owned preschool, run by a local family with dedicated, highly qualified and experienced practitioners for children aged from 2 years up to 5 years.
Our location is unique in Portsmouth, based in the newly created Milton Common Local Nature Reserve. Our beautiful surroundings ensure that our Little Bears have every opportunity to explore, discover and learn in a wonderful natural environment including the seashore of Langstone Harbour. The preschool is owned and managed by Heather Smith, an accredited Forest School Leader, with a passion for following the Forest School ethos of development.
We are motivated to achieve the highest standards of education and care. Fun, a healthy learning environment and quality care for all Little Bears is assured.
Our learning is recorded and monitored via Tapestry, a fully interactive, easy to use online learning journal. Tapestry is an excellent tool that helps the staff and parents/carers to record, track and celebrate your child’s progress with us.
We are open from 8.00am-5.00pm daily on Monday to Thursday in term time with additional holiday clubs during the summer holidays. A selection of sessions is available daily, including all day care. Hot lunches are also available for the children or you may provide a packed lunch.
